(New Fall 2023 position!!) ERP Research Assistant: responsibilities include (1) designing, configuring, and testing an SAP S/4HANA ERP system in FI/CO, MM, PP, SD, PLM, and QM based on research project requirements, (2) analyzing existing business processes and performing process mining and visualization using SAP Signavio, and (3) demonstrating the resulting prototypes for research collaboration with industry partners.  The expected starting date is August 21 and application review will begin on August 4, 2023.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Candidate must complete and earn a grade of B or above from ERP 4001 (ERP4120) ERP Software Development or ERP 6120 ERP System Configuration and Integration by July 31, 2023. Students who are taking the class in the summer 2023 semester may be considered.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Understand supply chain operations.  Candidates who completed ERP 5310 Supply Chain Management in ERP Environment will receive priority for position consideration. 
    • Students who have two or more semesters before graduating from S&T.
    • On-campus students who can work 7-15 hours per week in person in the Center for ERP lab (no remote work option).
    • have familiarity and experience with SAP S/4HANA ERP, HANA (database/data warehouse), or SAP Analytics Cloud. 
    • Have good oral and written communication skills

Digital media assistant: multiple positions available.  Responsibilities include website maintenance, news and updates via Twitter, event photos, digital media and event flyer design, and promotional video creation.

    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • A full-time undergraduate student
      • must have two or more semesters at S&T
      • must be an on-campus student and be able to work 5-7 hours per week in the office 
      • should have the skills and ability to use Twitter, LinkedIn, and selected social media for marketing purposes.
      • Ability to design flyers and written marketing materials
      • Possess good writing communication skills. 
      • have a basic understanding of web design and creation, but training will be provided for the TerminalFour system used by Missouri S&T

ERP company employees and competition teams: Multiple positions available.  Undergraduate students from all majors are invited to apply to work for a simulation company and a competition team. Successful candidates will receive training in all areas of company operations (marketing, sales, operations, etc.) and have professional development and career opportunities with our industry partners.  Students will work in teams to learn how to operate their company utilizing a real-world enterprise system and leading analytics/visualization tools most Fortune 500 companies use.  Student companies will form competition teams to compete in various simulation competitions at S&T, national, and international levels throughout the year. 

    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • A full-time on-campus undergraduate student
      • Must have two or more semesters at S&T. Freshmen and sophomores are strongly encouraged to apply.  
      • Must be able to work 5-10 hours per week on campus 
      • Motivation and ability to learn on the job
      • Motivation to compete at the campus-, regional-, national-, and international simulation and company operation strategies competitions.

ERP Application Assistants: responsibilities include creating software prototypes and tutorials for teaching, research, and corporate outreach; offering technical assistance to students taking ERP classes; and assisting ERP software installation and testing.

      • have familiarity and experience with SAP S/4HANA ERP, HANA (database/data warehouse), SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW,  Microsoft PowerBI, SAS Viya, and Tableau.
