Drop in to win prizes and talk to Student Assistants and ERP Competition Team members from 10 am to 2 pm on March 4th during the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics tournament at the Gale Bullman Gym, Missouri S&T. Description:  The student's in Dr. Lea's Intro to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP 2110) class have completed all three rounds of their ERP Simulation Competition, and each team is eager to present what they did and what they learned from the experience to the class and to a panel of judges.  Teams will start by introducing themselves, then will jump right into various topics that might include: how they leveraged the SAP ERP system to improve company operations, strategies they used to gain a competitive edge on the competition, and an overall evaluation of their performance and what they learned from the competition.

Mr. Draker will be on campus to chat with students about anything from his areas of expertise, including business intelligence, data warehouses, strategic planning, project management, and operations management.  Mr. Draker is also a 2004 B.S. IS&T and 2005 M.S. IS&T grad from Missouri S&T, so his experiences in both the real world and academia are relatable to any interested students.

Event Description:  The students in Dr. Lea's Introduction to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP 2110) class will compete in the first round of their ERP Simulation Competition.  Management teams from RSM and OGE will be in attendance to mentor our student competitors and will share insights with the class after the competition.  This event is also a part of the STEM day at Missouri S&T where almost 1000 K-12 students will be on campus visiting, all of whom are welcome to attend the competition to experience college education at Missouri S&T.  Twelve selected STEM Day high school students will join competition teams to gain experience in operating a company using a live SAP S/4HANA ERP system, the leading ERP system used by Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, Disney, Boeing, and Microsoft, company operations. 

 

Supply Chain Simulation Competition Championship

Event Description:  Our Supply Chain Simulation Competition Teams will be competing in their final round of competition.  You can view a list of the students participating here.  The competitors have already had two competitions, the results of which can be viewed here.  The students will also have the opportunity to meet and possibly interview with representatives from the sponsor companies.  Awards will be presented to teams based on net income, leftover inventory, quality of presentation, and other metrics of success.  We would also like to note that this competition is taking place on STEM day at Missouri S&T, and any K-12 students who wish to attend this competition and watch are welcome to do so.
