Course Description: ERP systems and concepts specialized for the field of Health Care, with particular emphasis on Business Process Integration in this environment. In addition to theories and concepts, students will:

"... Healthcare IT is a fast growing part of the IT employment market and I’d like to help Missouri S&T students take advantage of that growth. So we are starting overview class that would allow IT students who are interested specifically in Healthcare IT to get some exposure to the industry. Along with the usual lecture format, students will do some projects and job shadowing at the hospital to gain experience in a real healthcare environment. When they graduate, they can put this experience on their resume. Hiring managers will see that these students are really interested in healthcare IT, not just saying they’re interested in order to get a job. I think that will give them an advantage over other recently graduated candidates..."

If you are interested in taking this class, please register at your earliest convenience as the class may be canceled if the minimum enrollment required for a class cannot be met. Please note that this class may be used as an elective course for an ERP emphasis, ERP minor, or ERP Graduate Certificate, but it MAY NOT be used for the SAP Certificate of Excellence that is issued by SAP.
