Monsanto: SAP Governance for Large Global ERP Implementations
On Wednesday, April 27th the Center for Enterprise Resource Planning hosted an informational lecture with Monsanto. Ms. Jeanette Ford gave the presentation where she discussed Monsanto’s vision for the future, gave an overview of the company, and offered her advice to students during a question and answer session.
 
The presentation opened up by announcing that Monsanto would sponsor student team BB in the 2016 SAP Simulation Competition. Ms. Ford then gave a quick overview of Monsanto, how ERP plays a role at Monsanto, and what her job is as the Global ERP Quality Services lead.
Ms. Ford is the Global ERP Quality Services lead for Monsanto and has been working for the company for 8 years. She has 31 years experience in enterprise resource planning and 20 years experience working with SAP ERP. She shared how information technology at Monsanto plays a crucial role in the precision agriculture that the company uses to grow its products. She also discussed Monsanto’s history with SAP and the landscape and implementation of SAP at Monsanto.
 
After the presentation students participated in a question and answer session and then adjourned for one-on-one conversions with Ms. Ford.
